It was a father and son fishing trip to Oregon’s mighty Rogue River that hooked a young boy on the art of drift boat fishing. Since that day, some 35 years ago, Rick has been drifting the waters of California’s great salmon and steelhead rivers.  As a licensed California fishing guide since 1996, Rick has established a successful Sacramento, CA based guide service fishing primarily the Lower American River and select Northern California Reservoirs.   Seasonally targeting Steelhead, King Salmon, American Shad and landlocked salmon/trout has become a true passion.  Rick sits on the Board of Directors of the California Inland Fisheries Foundation, Inc., is a member of the American River Guides Association and is a guest speaker at many local venues as well as the Sacramento International Sportsman’s Exposition.
